Growing up not knowing if she had a promising future ahead of her wasn’t so much a thought for Johnnetta McSwain, a native of Birmingham, Alabama.  After living a life of poverty, severe abuse and neglect, and self-destruction, Johnnetta decided at the age of 30 to make a change for the better.  She rented a moving truck and with her 2 sons in tow, she headed to Atlanta on a rainy night in March 2002 and never looked back.  Because of her determination to be successful, in less years than what it takes most people, she has completed two degrees and is currently working towards her PhD.  She is also the founding CEO of Breaking the Cycle, an organization that educates women on self-image and empowers them to break their negative social cycles.  Johnnetta's story is one of inspiration and will motivate all who listen to make a change in their life or the lives of others caught in destructive cycles.
